The Durfee Foundation announces the 2009 recipients of The ARC (Artists' Resource for Completion) grants that provide rapid, short-term assistance to individual artists in Los Angeles County who wish to enhance work for a specific, imminent opportunity that may significantly benefit their careers. Stephen Berens was awarded a grant for the completion of his photographic series “Every Time I Answered My Door in 2007 (Some Portraits)” to be shown at Solway Jones Gallery in Los Angeles throughout 2009.
